Welcome to the Forge. Pull up a bench.

IronLuma is a new home for people who miss the old Bodybuilding.com forums and BodySpace: real threads, real training logs, and people who actually lift answering questions. The place is brand new, so the rooms are quiet right now. Every post you make helps build it.

Read this once. It's short, I promise.

How the Forge is laid out

    • Start Here: this thread, introductions, and questions about the site. Announcements sits inside it.
    • Training: lifting, conditioning, and "what should I do next" questions. Programs (full plans and splits) and Exercises (technique, swaps, form checks) sit inside it.
    • Nutrition: food, protein, cutting, bulking, and meals that fit a real life.
    • Supplements: plain questions and honest reports. No miracle claims.
    • Prime 35+: training around joints, jobs, and the long game.
    • Women's: training, recovery, and progress in a room of your own.
    • Parents: training with kids in the picture. Family training sits inside it.
    • Journals: one running training log per member, written from your Lumen.
    • Wins and Progress: PRs, firsts, progress checks, and the weeks you showed up.
    • The Campfire: off-topic. Sports and games and Life off the platform sit inside it.

Every room has a pinned thread at the top with ideas, example titles, and templates. If you don't know what to post, start there.

    The rules

    1. Be respectful. Argue about training all day. Don't go after the person. No insults, no body-shaming, no pile-ons.
    2. No harassment. No threats, no hate, no following someone from thread to thread, no creepy comments on anyone's photos.
    3. No spam or self-promo without permission. No affiliate links, discount codes, coaching pitches, or channel plugs unless a mod okayed it first.
    4. Keep it clean. No nudity, no sexual content. People read this at work and with kids around.
    5. PED talk stays in Eclipse. Performance-enhancing drugs, hormones, and research compounds aren't discussed in the public Forge. Eclipse is the opt-in 21+ section for that, with its own rules. The Forge will bounce those posts and point you there.
    6. No medical claims. Nothing here is medical advice. Don't diagnose people, and don't promise that a product fixes anything. Pain, injuries, medications, and lab results go to a doctor first.
    7. No selling. No buying, selling, or trading, anywhere on the site.
    8. No sourcing. Anywhere. Not in the Forge, not in Eclipse, not in replies, not "message me". Asking for a source or offering one gets you removed.
    9. Use Report, don't fight. See something off? Hit Report on the post and move on. Arguing with a troll gives them what they want. Mods see every report.
    10. Adults only. IronLuma is 18+.

How moderation works: a warning first, then a 24-hour lockout, then 7 days, then a ban. You can appeal a ban from Settings.

A heads-up for new accounts: you can only post a few times at first, and links unlock after your first few posts. That's there to keep spam bots off the floor, not to slow you down.

    Make your Lumen worth visiting

Your profile is called your Lumen (ironluma.com/u/yourname). It's the BodySpace part of IronLuma.

    • Goal: set one. It shows on your Lumen with a countdown and a progress bar.
    • Workout log: log your sessions with sets, reps, and weight. Once you have a few training days in (3 days and 8 sets), the log gives you a training identity based on how you actually train.
    • Progress photos: private by default. You can make a before/after pair public, with face blur if you want it.
    • Journal: journal entries you set to public also post to your journal thread in the Journals room.
    • Badges: earned from what you log and do. Pin your favorite three to your Lumen.
    • Weekly streak: log a workout, check in, or write a journal entry each week to keep it alive.

    Sparks

Sparks are the thank-you button. There is no downvote. If a reply helped you, Spark it. If someone answers the question in your thread, you can mark it as the accepted answer.

    Now say hi

Head over to the Introduce yourself thread and tell us who you are, what you're training for, and what brought you here. Then go answer somebody's question. That's how a forum gets good.

    See you on the boards.
